The garden is looking great, pictures to come. Because of the usual delays we are not able to open until april. It is going to be absolutely beautiful when we are finished. Plus we may even have a garden party in march weather permitting.

We’ve been thinking a lot about the menu changes we’ll be making when we have the indoor seating area and bar. Recently we purchased an induction burner which allows us to do a lot more saute work really fast. Some of the new dishes we’ve been trying out have gotten a great reception at the cart. We’ll also be bringing back our Confit Chicken Wings in a honey lemongrass glaze. Here’s some of our new menu items we’ve been working on:
Togarashi Beef Tenderloin Skewers with Miso Butter Asparagus
Chili Garlic Prawns on a Bed of Pan Fried Noodles
Spicy Pork and Hominy Korean Style Stew
Pan Fried Noodles with Miso Butter and Asparagus
Seasonal vegetables sauteed with miso butter and tarragon
and we’re also going to be doing some bar snacks like kimchi quesadillas & a variety of homemade pickle plates. Come by the cart in the coming weeks to try out these specials

We couldn’t pick just one so we thought we’d compile a list:
- The pile of human fecal matter next to the toilet
- The pile of disturbingly large bones in the basement
- The disturbingly tame baby possum eating it’s way through a bag of fetid garbage
- The embarrassing thought journal left by the previous tenant
Next week the serious remodel work starts. The roof will be coming off, a new one coming on and a drop box will finally arrive so we can clean the debris of the previous residents. All the scary dolls, broken glass and collage art will be coming out of the house and into the trash. The tedious process of city/OLCC permitting has already begun and we are making progress. The goal for our opening date is August 15th.
Our plans right now include a partial fence around the property and an outdoor seating area for the summer months. One of our awesome customers who has literally one of the most beautiful gardens we’ve ever seen has offered to help us with the landscape design of the yard and fence (cedar with lots of bamboo) so we’ll be starting on that as soon as possible.
